The Confusing Story of Izchak Products

First of all, and most importantly, let's check out his pickup prices:

Very simple -- all pickups are priced at $24.00, including the large size humbuckers and the plain single coils. These are prices for small quantity orders. ( See below a sample taken from his brochure)

For larger orders, like Steward MacDonald, the pickups are quite a bit less, I betcha.

Stew Mac sells these pickups under the name XL500 and L500, as did Izchak, until he realized his blunder last summer and changed the names of his pickups to match Bill's original names -- the names as Bill introduced them in1980. Why did Izchak make this mistake? Because he was living in Israel working in the garment business -- not at all in the pickup business. Izchak tries very hard to mimic Bill, to make it seem to you that you're dealing with the real Bill. I could go on and on with Izchak's numerous errors and con artist tricks, but I avoid, as much as I can, giving a sociopath's story any credibility, especially by acknowledging that it exists.

Finally, to clear up all this confusion, let's take a survey. Which company name do you prefer for Izchak's Products? We suggest to select only one, though multiple non-existent company names are okay in the world according to Izchak:

1. Namm registered Izchak's exhibit's name in the their trade show book as:

A. Bill Lawrence Guitar Pickup Co at the 2001 Summer Show

B. Bill Lawrence Products at the 2002 Winter Show.

Click here to read our notification to Namm prior to the Winter show.

2. At the WinterNamm booth, Izchak's own company's signs were printed as:

C. Bill Lawrence Pickups.

D.Bill Lawrence Company California USA.

3.In the Winter Namm show brochures , Izchak prints more company name options:

E. Lawrence Sound Research, Inc. ( a Nashville corporation closed down by Bill in 1985)

4. On the invoices sent to dealers, Izchak writes:

F. Bill Lawrence Products, Inc.

5. In Bill's search for Izchak's many California corporations, no "Bill Lawrence" company was found. However, there were some of Izchak's previous companies listed which were closed down for not paying taxes:

G. The Lawrence Connection

H. Degalim - see Izchak's Degalim ( for even more information, please read Bill Lawrence Documentary Part One)

In reality, there never was a "Bill Lawrence Pickup Co" -- neither in Germany nor in the US!

However, unlike Izchak, Bill has two active companies -- the William Lawrence Design Corporation, incorporated in 1994, and the Bill Lawrence Guitar Co, LLC, incorporated in 1997 both in the state of Pennsylvania.

In the scheme of the world, Bill and I take a "live and let live" approach to life. However, there are some things that you must fight for, and in Bill's situation, to protect your work and reputation is one of them. Unfortunately, our legal system isn't designed to help the innocent; it is better suited to protect the rich and the crooked. Therefore, Bill and I are forced to take our case to the public.

For too long in his career, swindlers and users found Bill's humanistic approach -- freely sharing his knowledge to help others -- as an easy target to steal. Today, Bill and I are fighting hard for what is right and what belongs to him: his life's work.
