Bill is well known for pioneering pickup designs and to authoring deeply insightful writings on tone and engineering. He is one of the few to have worked with the three large manufactures: Gibson, Peavey, and Fender. With Dan Armstrong in NYC, amongst many things, Bill did wiring for many players that included custom guitar pickups. His work spans designing an electric piano in Ireland, creating the stage sound for bands, to various guitars and other gear all over the world. Bill Lawrence’s influence spans generations of artists, builders, and innovators.
